How do payouts work?
Every sale — product, auction, service, tip, or membership — is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). The buyer is charged, the platform fee is deducted, and the remainder is credited to the seller's balance on the Platform.
Sellers withdraw their available balance from the Earnings page. Withdrawals are reviewed by an admin and paid out directly to the seller's connected Stripe account via bank transfer. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding (identity verification + bank details) before payouts can be enabled.
How long are holds?
Funds from a successful sale are held for 48 hours before becoming available to withdraw. During this window the amount shows as pending in your earnings dashboard.
The hold gives us time to detect fraudulent payments, chargebacks, and disputes before money leaves the platform. After 48 hours with no issue, the balance flips to available and you can request a withdrawal.
How are files scanned?
Every file uploaded to the platform is scanned the moment it lands in storage — before it is ever attached to a listing or delivered to a buyer.
- Images are run through an automated NSFW / nudity detector. Rejected uploads are deleted server-side and count as a strike against the account. Three strikes results in account suspension.
- Digital product files (the actual deliverables buyers download) are virus-scanned. Anything flagged as malicious is deleted immediately and never reaches a buyer.
- Live chat is filtered for profanity and abuse in real time. Repeat offenders are muted or suspended by moderators.
What are the fees?
Digital Arena charges a flat 8% platform fee on every successful transaction (products, auctions, services, tips, and subscriptions). That fee is deducted automatically at checkout — the seller's balance reflects the net amount.
Standard payment-processing fees from Stripe apply on top (typically 2.9% + 30¢ for US card payments, higher for international or currency-converted transactions). Stripe deducts those at the time of payment.
There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or withdrawal fees from Digital Arena. Stripe may charge a small payout fee on bank transfers depending on your country.
